Save the date for the CATA’s first Town Hall Meeting CATPAC, the CATA’s political action committee, invites dealers and their managers to attend the association’s first Town Hall Meeting July 21 at 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Download the RSVP Form) PURPOSE: - To open a dialogue between CATA dealer members and state officials so that they can better understand the challenges of running our businesses, and
- How legislation and regulation affects dealers and our employees. This will be an “idea exchange” forum designed to find answers rather than lay blame or point fingers. Guests and members will have the ability to interact with each other with unscripted questions from the floor.
GUESTS: - We are pleased that Illinois State Senate Republican Leader Christine Radogno will help get the ball rolling. Sen. Radogno (R-41-Lemont) is deeply involved in the state’s budget and finances and is a “make sense of all this” leader.
- Senator John Millner (R-28-St. Charles) has also put us on his schedule to participate.
- We ask that CATA members invite their local legislator along with them, too. Remember that this is a non-partisan meeting and we look forward to strong representation from both sides of the aisle.
WHEN and WHERE: - July 21st at the CATA HQ in Oakbrook Terrace. A buffet lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. followed by our panel at noon. We expect the event to go no later than 1 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in the discussions.
ACTION - We’re asking CATA dealers members to do two things:
- Please come, listen and let your voice and opinions be heard, and
- Bring a guest! Preferably your local representative whom you most likely know already. The more participation we have from our legislators, the better they’ll understand our story.
Please also invite other CATA dealer members to attend and feel free to promote the event in your dealer line group meetings. Thanks! Mike McGrath Jr.Chairman, CATA CATPAC Committee QUESTIONS?
