Join the Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA) for the 2024 Chicago Drives Electric Industry & Media Day, Thursday, Oct. 3 from 8a-12p. This exclusive event will provide you one-on-one time with the EVs to gather driving impressions, content creation, vehicle education and more. Below is the schedule for the morning. Full details on all presentations will be available next week.

Participating manufacturers include Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Fiat, Ford, GMC, Hyundai, Kia, Lexus, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota and Volvo. 

Thursday, Oct. 3

  • 7:30 a.m. – Media registration opens
  • 8:00 a.m. – Networking & Continental Breakfast
  • 8:30-9:00 a.m. – Get to Know the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack
    • Matt McAlear, CEO, Dodge Brand
    • Dodge Brand CEO Matt McAlear will join us with the all-new 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack electrified performance vehicle —the next generation of American muscle. Expected to reach 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds and run the quarter mile in an estimated 11.5 seconds, the Dodge Charger Daytona retains its title as the world’s quickest and most powerful muscle car, delivering supercharged V-8 performance with zero tailpipe emissions and instant torque response. It will start arriving in dealerships later this year, but you can see it here first.
  • 9:00-9:15 a.m. – EVs at the Dealership, presented by CDK Global
    • Where today’s car shoppers and dealers stand on electrification
  • 9:15-10:15 a.m. – The Current State of EVs Panel Discussion & Q&A (Presented by CDK Global)
    • Join us for a dynamic discussion about the evolving EV landscape with representatives from Cars.com, ComEd, and Powering Chicago. The panel will be moderated by Rob Duffer, President, Midwest Automotive Media Association (MAMA).  
  • 10:15-10:30 a.m. – ComEd News Conference & Presentation
  • 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. – EV Test Drives & Content Creation
    • Note: Additional driving timeslots will be available in the afternoon.
  • 12:00 p.m. – Boxed Lunch & Presentation by Cars.com

This is a free event; pre-registration is required.

**Please note that this session is only open to working media, CATA dealers, legislators, and automotive industry leaders. Public test drives will be available Thursday afternoon through Sunday.**
