AGENDA: How could the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) impact your dealership’s tax strategy? In this in-person presentation, Dorothy Sobocinska from KSM (formerly MichaelSilver) will provide a clear, practical overview of the bill’s key tax provisions and considerations for automobile dealers.
This session is designed to help dealers better understand the potential impacts of the legislation and its implications for their business, supporting informed decision-making related to tax planning, compliance, and future strategy in a changing tax landscape.
Presenter Profile
Dorothy Sobocinska is a senior manager in KSM’s Chicago office and a member of the firm’s Business Advisory Group. Dorothy provides tax consulting and compliance services to closely held businesses. She works closely with business owners and leadership teams to help them navigate complex federal tax matters, evaluate planning opportunities, and implement strategies designed to improve cash flow and support long-term growth.
Over the last nine years, Dorothy has specialized in serving clients in the automotive dealership industry, advising on entity structuring, accounting method considerations, and multistate tax matters. She uses her technical knowledge and industry insight to help clients move beyond compliance and make informed decisions that support profitability and operational efficiency.
Education
Dorothy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in taxation from University WSB Merito in Poland and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Benedictine University. She also earned a Master of Science degree in taxation from William Howard Taft University.
Associations and Community Involvement
Dorothy is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Illinois CPA Society, where she serves on the Awards Committee and has served on the Women’s Committee. She previously served as board treasurer for the Elmhurst Swim Team.
